Dreams Dominicus La Romana has achieved significant and measurable sustainability milestones and received the Preferred by Nature™ mark. The requirements for certification are aligned with the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria. This certification assures our commitment to reduce the impact of our activities on the planet and local communities.

Recycling & Resource Conservation

Dreams Dominicus La Romana has adopted a "No Straws" policy on the beach and in the pool bars to protect marine life from plastic waste. Additionally, it has become the main agent in achieving the restructuring of the Dominicus mangrove, located next to the property. It is important to note that we are committed to contributing to local organizations for the restructuring of coral reefs and the protection of sea turtles through nest protection and awareness programs for their conservation. This commitment is coupled with support for the care of the Dominicus beach segment, certified by Blue Flag, which also endorses accessible facilities (ramps in common areas, rooms for people with motor disabilities, braille system in elevators).

Our Community

Dreams® Dominicus La Romana cares about the local community. We participate in the community by sponsoring a local school, supporting the conservation of the Juan Ponce de León Museum, as well as contributing to the Albergue S.O.S Foundation as part of its commitment to wildlife care. It should be noted that it extends this commitment to shelter centers for vulnerable children and adolescents. As part of this commitment, it makes priority recruitment of staff from the local community. In addition, we develop activities that include Dominican culture and educate the community about sustainability practices.
